this is a washed nicaraguan coffee from the matagalpa region, sourced and roasted by sprocket roasters under fair trade and organic certification. the washed process keeps things clean and defined, letting the bean's character come through directly. expect caramel sweetness, a mild almond nuttiness, and an earthy backbone that gives it some weight. it's straightforward and approachable, without sharp acidity or heavy fruit. it works well as a daily drinker. pour over or drip brewing will highlight the cleaner, more delicate caramel and almond qualities, while a french press will lean into the earthier, fuller side of the cup.
