ddc knows how to source. as a roaster operating out of guayabal, a working industrial district on medellín's south side, they're not positioning themselves as a lifestyle brand. they're doing the actual work, which means the coffee you drink here starts with decisions made long before it reaches your cup. regulars have been coming back consistently enough that the place has built a quiet but firm reputation, the kind that doesn't need explaining. guayabal isn't a tourist circuit, so the people here are mostly here on purpose. if you're making the trip to cl. 27a #54-30, remember that you are visiting a roastery, not a coffeeshop.
