you're on the edge of nantlle, unit 1 y barics sitting somewhere between working village and quiet end-of-road calm, which is not the obvious place to find a specialty roaster doing things seriously. but poblado coffi is here, and that decision alone says something about what they're about. this isn't a café that opened because the foot traffic demanded it. the regulars who make the trip back, repeatedly, have clearly found something worth the detour. as a roaster, the sourcing and the process are the point, not just the finishing touch. if you get here mid-morning on a weekday, you're probably catching it at its most unhurried, which might be exactly right for a place in a corner of snowdonia that doesn't rush anything.
